Accessibility Statement
1. Conformance Status
DobleYo Café aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) published by the W3C. The site is in partial conformance — we implement the majority of Level AA criteria, with some areas under continuous improvement.
2. What We Have Done
- Semantic HTML5 structure with proper heading hierarchy
- All images include descriptive
alttext - Full keyboard navigation support across the site
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for body text)
- Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
- ARIA labels and roles where native semantics are insufficient
- Responsive design that works on all screen sizes
- Animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion - Forms with associated labels and descriptive error messages
- Skip-to-content link available via keyboard
3. Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas that do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA:
- Some legacy PDF documents may lack full accessibility tagging — we are working to update these.
- The QR scanner on the traceability page requires camera access and may not be fully operable by keyboard alone — a text-entry alternative is always available.
- Some third-party embedded content (maps, payment widgets) may not be fully under our control.
4. Technical Approach
- Built with Astro 5 and React 19, following accessible component patterns
- CSS custom properties with sufficient contrast across colour themes
- No reliance on colour alone to convey information
- Interactive elements meet the 44×44 px minimum touch target size
5. Assistive Technologies Tested
- NVDA + Chrome (Windows)
- VoiceOver + Safari (macOS / iOS)
- TalkBack + Chrome (Android)
- Keyboard-only navigation on all major browsers
